Dr told I Have A 45 Heart Beat

I have a question I went to the Dr's because I have been feeling weak from a cold. So I thought they found out that I have a Upper Respiratory infection. Also my heart beat is low at 45. Is there reason to be concerned and what is good for me to do. To get this back up and going better?

Thanks for the advice I am not sure about the cardiolgist yet. Waiting on test results from dr's. Also I have a upper respiratory infection does that have anything to do with it? Also dr told me I need more Calcium. I bought 2 bottles and now I taking them 2 times a day. I feel a little better and all.

A low heart rate isnt always a bad thing, mine stays around 40-45 during the day and sometimes drops in the 30's when I sleep. I am in pretty good shape andwork out 7 days a week, I also take some meds for an arrythmia. As long as your not feeling bad and its not affecting your life my doc says a low heart rate is actually a good thing. Let me say this my doc is a cardiologist and I have had and continue to have checkups that include strees tests, ekg's, sonograms, etc. If I were you I would go to a cardiologist and have them give you a full workup and let them determine if that rate is to low for you. It may have been that low before you got the upper respiratory thing.
