My Heart bothers me only when I workout, Help!

Hi, I'm a 23 year old male. 6'3, 270. I don't do any kind of drugs and only drink once in a while with friends. I have no family history of heart problems. Recently lost 130 pounds over the past 3 years to. I eat healthy majority of the week. I workout 4-5 times a week and only supplement I used was gold standard whey protein. Now, onto my issue. Over the past 3 weeks I have been get these chest pains/discomfort in my chest when I do cardio mostly, sometimes when I lift weights. I describe it as a big heart beat and then a sharp stab pain for a few seconds. Then I feel uneasy at times while workingout. I'm scared something is wrong with my heart but I went to an acute care center and my x-ray and ekg came back normal.
Anyone have any idea what I have or what I should do?
Because of this I haven't been able to workout really at all as it effects my workout.
Than you.

It sounds as though you might be experiencing what's called Premature Ventricular Contractions or PVCs (you can google it) accompanied by a twinge pain, which some people feel (I don't).  Usually, these are benign, however since they occur when you exercise, and since you have apparently been much heavier and since you are male, I think it would be a very prudent idea to have a stress test to take a closer look at this while your body is working hard.

If you don't have health insurance, call a cardiologist's office, tell them what's going on, and ask if they can arrange something.
