I totally agree with jerry... sounds like to strong of medication to me. I took flecainide until I had an ablation last year.. but I had strong afib and would have to have an electro cardioversion to get back to regular rhythm...and I think he is correct on the 81mg asprin also..personally Id get a second opinion..Claytex
I am not speaking against your doctor, but it sounds like a strong action to me. Did you try a simple beta blocker first to see if that would help? Do you take an anticoagulant, or at least an aspirin? Blood clot is one of the key problems of AFib that must be controlled, or at least mitigated. If all you have is lone AFib and you are not a senior age person, an aspirin may be all that is needed. That is much easier to live with than is an anticoagulant such as Coumadin.
