I have had the same problems as you have posted, and like the others here I believe there is some GI connection with ectopics and GERD, belching, burping. I take a PPI (Aciphex) and it works for the GERD, but if i come off of it, vengeance!!!! PVCs, ventricular runs, happen at night alot after dinner, when I lay down to sleep, but also any other time that they flair up. God only knows what really causes the randomness. Like itdood poste, mostly time gets rid of them. but then, after weeks, months or whenever, they come back. a real drag!!! But at least you are not alone.
one other thing - it has been mentioned that belching helps and I agree, but also for me, coughing will bring me out of a scary run of PVS. good luck
I think it's all connected. I just had an ablation 5 days ago for SVT. I was awake and as they were doing the procedure, I started to burp. Huh, I hadn't eaten or drank anything for 15 hours at least and sure wasn't burping prior to surgery. I thought it was so weird. Also weird because often when my heart would beat strange (without going into a full SVT) I found that if I let out a big burp, my heart would start to beat regular again. Not too helpful for a Dr to say it could be psychosomatic. I developed anxiety ONLY after all this weird stuff happening to my body. It was the weird heart stuff and knowing something was going on with me (and no one helping for years) that caused me to have anxiety. This stuff isn't in our heads...we know what's going on in our body.
One of the side effects of PPIs like prilosec is depletion of hard-to-break down minerals like magnesium. It requires a lot of acid to break down certain magnesium sources. Since you are shutting down the acid production, it sorta makes the case that you can't break down food as-well.
A lot of people report relationships between GI upset and ectopics. myself included. I can't tell you what exactly fixed it for me. Time was one thing.
Sorry I don't have a quick fix or answer.
