Thanks for the kind words. I've been through a lot these past few weeks. My wrist is about 75 percent better, but very weak. I've been hiding it from work because I believe they are trying to get rid of me. Man, nursing is rough. And when I say that, I mean management. So, therefore, my palps have been worse. I'm not allowed to act like I can't lift or carry, so it is all kind of secretive. I am feeling that I may not have a job soon, and no way of getting another. All adding to stress. No help from docs with palps. Wrist doctor upset because I could NOT do the MRI. They wanted me in the machine, on my belly, with my wrist over my head for 50 MINUTES! They said it is longer than usual because the wrist is so tiny.
I don't know about anyone else, but MRI vibrations cause my heart to freak out. I'm doomed. lol There is NOTHING that doesn't cause it to freak out. They wanted me to take a sedative, but sedatives make my heart freak out....lol Sometimes I feel like going to bed and never getting out.
Anyway, thanks for the well wishes. I'm praying that things get better soon.
Thinking of you, Rita, and hope your wrist feels better soon.
Jannie
Rita,
Sorry about the wrist injury. You didn't tell us much, but then I couldn't be of any help even if you told me what happened specifically.
I hope your colleagues help you during your recovery. Be as careful as you can not to complicate/extend your injury. Ask other staff people and volunteers to help you lift and carry when doing so yourself would make things worse.
As I said, I can't be of much help, but I write to let you know I'm "pulling" for you.
Hi Rita nice to see you on here again. Spring has sprung and I love it but the heart is up to its usual misbehavior. I guess some things will never change...hope your wrist gets better and your mood too...I just found out I'm going to be a grandma again and I refuse to let this heart business get in the way of all the good things in life. Also back in school ( yes at 53! ) to get my bachelor in Healthcare administration and learned in health class today that 480,000 people have died of arythmias although the text didn't specify if thats yearly or in total. Needless to say that screwed with my head and made me wonder how we are supposed to live with this mess daily and NOT become worry warts over everything!
