Heart/Chest pain in waves waking up.

Hey all. This is the 2nd time in a week where i have woken up around 730 in the A.M. and i seem to have this chest pain that start almost in my back or chest hard to describe but it is almost like a wave goes through my sternum almost into my stomach. It happens for about 5-10 minutes. I worry because i had an SVT ablation in Nov of 2012. Does anyone know what this might be? Makes me worry a bit because this is nothing like i have felt before. Thanks

Don't be embarrassed, we all get it.  Add some fiber to your diet and see if that helps.  I seem to do better with fiber cereals or bars then the powdered fiber or pills. But you do have to be pretty consistent in getting some everyday but if you do it will keep your plumbing happy.

A little embarrassing but think I might be a little constipated. Just can't tell if pain is starting from upper abdomen then starts that wave feeling.

Very possible and gas will also cause ectopics to flare up too.

I also wonder if it's gas related. I've been burping all day

Unfortunately no one can say for certain without it being captured on a monitor but the fact that it doesn't last leads me to believe you are feeling the after effects of a pvc.  I felt all sorts of things after my ablation and it really took me a full year and a half to feel like my heart was fully recovered though I didn't get mine ablated until my 40s so my heart may have been a bit more stressed than a 20 year olds.  The other thing that I noticed was my heart was very use to beating on the higher end of normal but after my ablation my normal dropped and when it started to dip lower than it had ever gone I noticed some chest discomfort.  I would say possibly due to more blood being pumped through the heart.  The heart being a muscle it needed to stretch a bit to accommodate the slower beats.  This is also partly what happens when a pvc hits at just the right time, more blood than normal is accumulated in the ventricles and is possibly why they are a bit painful. But in general the pain for me would last about 5-10 minutes.  The fact you stopped your regular fitness routine may be partly to blame as you heart muscle reacts to not being so active.  I would say to be sure you might want to contact your cardiologist to let them know that you are feeling.  Pain is always something that should be attended to but I surmise that what you are feeling is likely the after effects of run of the mill pvcs.  But of course I can't say for sure, only a doctor can really diagnose what it is.
