NOt to scare you, but the rule of thumb is, if you get more pvcs when exercising dr worry more about it. Its when you get them with rest that they ignore them. All the forums and stuff say pvcs with exercise need to be taken more seriously
I will try that....what does it look like?
You ever try Chelated Magnesium Oxide. 200-250mg. I did and they stopped. :)
My wife worked at a doctor's office. A man had symptoms that suggested heart problems, and a stress test was ordered. He wanted to perform well during the test and the evening before, prepared himself on his home treadmill. He passed away during his effort.
Navywife21113, I'm not suggesting you have a problem, but please wait until after your stress test to start exercising. I've heard so many people talk about preparing for their stress test. In the hospital or testing center, they watch the EKG closely for changes that the heart is under strain and abort the test if these markers show up. I'm currently experiencing an exacerbated arrhythmia under stress, my cardiologist and E.P. insist it's not evidence of Coronary Artery Disease, but I'm unconvinced.
In the past, my PVCs would go away while I was on the stress test, I've always felt so good afterwards. My most recent Stress Echo, last December, I performed at 78% of the expected Heart Rate, and no indications of Ischemia were evident. My heart was throwing hundreds of ectopics before and after the stress test, but purred like a well tuned car during the test. Ah, it felt so good. I'm sure you'll be fine, just wait until you're cleared after the test to begin an exercise regime and don't even consider preparing for the test.
well i should get back to it after i take my stress test just to be sure....thank you so much for all of your posts they really help a lot.
I've had benign PVCs (often sustained bigeminy) for decades, and I have mild-to-moderate aortic regurgitation. Because of that last one, I get a stress/echo every year, and so far, the condition is stable and my heart generally works very well. My doctor says, "Keep exercising!"
Which I do. In fact, I have been going to the gym at least five days a week for thirty years.
