Heart palpitations after eating

Since last November I have had heart flutters and actual skipping after eating and more recently a few episodes that go on all night. I do take a beta blocker for PVCs that has worked well for several years. I have also been taking Nexium and had just tried weaning off after several months.First of course I went to the cardiologist. Everything looks good, but doc suggested nuclear treadmill. I declined as I've always been told my EKGs are good other than something he called "unspecifed" that has always shown up. If it's not life threatening my high deductible and the fact I live on social security right now, expensive testing isn't happening. He suggested upping my sectral from 400mg per day to 600....I then saw my internist who wants to do treatment step by step, going back on Nexium 40mg and possibly maintaining with this medication. Something I didn't want to do, however, I can't feel normal with heart paps. I do feel better, no paps for last few nights, however, paps immediately after eating a large sandwich for lunch. Really confused right now. Doc was vague when I ask if reflux can cause palpitations. Oh, forgot to mention I was treated for several months in 2013 for LPR reflux. Doc said reflux can cause a lot of things. Going off in two directions right now.

There is a ton of anecdotal feedback to say that GI symptoms and palps are correlated. There has never been any scientific evidence of this though.  In other words a lot of people state it happens but no one has ever studied it.  And keep in mind that correlation doesn't mean there is causation.

I hear all over the place that acid reflux and GERD can cause irritation of the heart and or esophagus and cause pvcs/Pacs. Try taking care of the acid reflux then see how you feel. ALso never lay down after eating, it will cause it to be worst.
