Heart tests

Last week I was admitted into the hospital because somehow while sleeping I hurt my back.  While at the hospital they did an EKG, an ultrasound on my heart, a stress test (chemical), and one of those things that measures the sound of the heart (forgot the name).
All tests came back fine, but the heart doctor wanted me to come back for a tilt table test in a few weeks.  I was discharged, and went back to my normal routine.
This morning I got a call from CardioNet, a heart monitoring service.  Apparently the heart doctor ordered me a monitor, and I have no idea why.
If all tests came back clear, why would I need to wear a monitor?  Is it because my pulse was slightly elevated in the hospital?  I was in a lot of pain, and it was around 100 bpm resting.  Any insight would be helpful, thanks!

According to his assistant its because my dad died of a heart attack when he was only 61 years old.  They also said my pulse rate on my EKG was over 100, which is a red flag apparently.  I reminded them that I was in a ton of pain at the time, my breathing was labored because of the severe back pain.

Seems strange to me that the doctor would not advise, even get your approval for the associated expenses.  I'd call the doctor and get a reason.

As for the 100 resting HR, that is not a reason for a heart monitor.  Still, the tilt table prescription suggests there is a concern that something triggered your back problem.
