Would you describe how a couplet feels like? Thank you
Thyroid disease can cause heart palps. Obtain copies of your blood tests and check out for yourself. Many labs use old TSH ranges.

Hi,
It's really hard to say from the description. If you take your pulse at your wrist when they happen, you may get a better feel for what's actually happening.
It could have been an aborted run of PSVT, or a Triplet, or a Couplet that felt like a Triplet. It could have been Bigeminy where it felt like three in a row, but they would not have happened very fast. (Beat, PVC, Beat, PVC, Beat, PVC, etc.)
I awoke one morning to a few episodes of couplets, fairly distinctive. I phoned my Doctor later in the day, on a Sunday, boy was he mad. He had miles of test results on me and had been assuring me I was OK. When I told him I had couplets, he said that with my testing showing that my heart was normal, that the few episodes of couplets were absolutely meaningless.
If you keep getting them and they are new for you, I would mention them to your Doctor. A few Couplets and Triplets, in a Health Heart, don't seem to be much to worry about. But be sure that the Doctor knows to see if he wants to do a Holter or 30 Day Monitor.
Be well.
