That would be Michigan J. Frog in 'One Froggy Evening', which is better to watch on YouTube than wonder if the pvcs are going to kill you, or 'only' drive you, and everyone around you, mad. Who isn't tired of these cardiologist types saying "they're no problem?" Or, not having arrhythmias read, IF you get to see the cardiologist or when wearing a monitor. Night before last, I thought I was done for, and, at that point, I fairly well felt like I no longer cared. After all, none of my doctors care, so why should I, right? I'd like to send them all Michigan J. Frog(s). Worse, with my daughter, who had an actual Afib - has been been dropped like a hot potato. "Don't worry about having had voltage shot through your chest." I seriously wonder if cardiology is a true medical practice. Either "lone afib" is serious or it isn't, but no one can decide. THAT gives me pvcs, anxiety, depression...and even Chuck Jones can't relieve it completely. (I take that back. If all anyone ever had to do was watch Chuck Jones' work, then maybe....
hee, hee, I saw that cartoon with the singing frog and can vouch it's what my pvcs do too!!
After an unbearable time with constant pvcs I was ready to beg for an ablation, but the day I was scheduled with my first EP visit, my pvcs were quiet. Not a single one on the EKG. He must have thought I was mad.
He did say, it proves they are benign, and while I think that's a bit of a stretch, it did make me wonder how they could possibly go from 1200 an hour to none, without medication of any sort.
It's maddening isn't it? But I'd say just enjoy the break if you get one.
Same thing just happened to me. I had some major PVC episodes over a 2 week period for the first noticeable time in my life. I just got finished wearing a 2-week monitor and not a single PVC occurred. My heart rate and BP were even normal the whole time. I do take fish oil, magnesium, and Lexapro and an occasional Benzo for anxiety issues which may have been the cause of my PVC's in the first place. I also have to really watch my diet and I cut out all alcohol. Hopefuuly these PVC's are a thing of the past for both of us. I do think the heart monitor was kind of like a safety net or something, go figure? Good luck!
or it could just be our bodies being cruel pranksters lol
I remember seeing that cartoon. How true. I wonder if the security of having the event monitor on lowers our adrenalin output, thereby not giving our hearts that extra bit of fuel to cause the PVC's? Makes some sense to me in some cases?
i liken him to that frog in old looney tunes cartoons; guy finds a time capsule box in a well or construction site, and it contains a frog with a top hat and cane and it sings and dances around. the guy realises this is utterly awesome and takes the frog to a talent agent, singing and danceing all the way. in a big fuss of excitement he drags the agent over, who is faced with a listless frog that just goes " crooooooak". The agent walks away, annoyed at his wasted time, and then the frog starts singing and danceing again. this repeats a few times till it drives the guy who found it mad.
Wow, 21 days with a heart monitor? The most my doc ever did was one week, and that was after we went around and around about my fear and his telling me "not to worry". Wouldn't you know it, what Brooke_38 said them "playing hide and seek" was true. I did manage to have about 10 minutes of 'em during the monitoring, but, the darn monitor didn't transmit them. I remember thinking "yes, I'm dying now, isn't it great that I have this device on?" It did show one or two PAC's and PVc's, but nothing like I normally experience. But I'm here, as you said I would be, and it's been almost a year since the test.
It will be interesting to know if stopping the fish oil allows them to start back up. I have heard good things about the Omega3's. I recently heard that a few people had positive results with Aloe Vera juice and that some have good luck with CoQ10. I haven't had luck with the CoQ10 (5 months now) and am going to try the Aloe Vera, if nothing else, it's good for the immune and digestive systems. As I am allergic to foods of the sea, I've had to stay away from the fish oil.
Good luck on the monitoring. Hopefully everything comes out fine and you are told 'not to worry'. Most exciting is the response you have experienced with adding the fish oil. That's wonderful, I hope the magic continues.
You didn't know that the minute you stick thos little electrodes on your chest, those PVC's start playing "hide and seek?" I couldn't resist that one *lol* This is true for alot of people. I think that is why it can sometimes take many EKG's, monitors etc. to finally capture and document the "beast within"
I really hope this is your "miracle" :)))
I would claim the healing.......take it......and......don't look back!
