PAC treatments?

Hello
I've had heart palpitations all my life (53 yrs old) and was finally diagnosed with PACs.  Usually, I get from 5-20 small PACs per day, no big deal.   I once had an episode of non stop arrhythmia for 3 hours and one that lasted 1.5 hours where I get light-headed and weak,   At what point should someone go to the ER?  I've heard coughing and/or sneezing will reset the rhythm, but it didn't work for me.  Anyone know of something that will stop a sustained episode of PACs?
Also, I've read that omega 3 fish oil, potassium, magnesium and taurine all help reduce PACs.  Has anyone had any luck with these and if so, in what amounts? Is there a supplement specifically for heart rhythm?  What about herbs?  Any other suggestions?
Thanks much,

My halter moniter showed 14,026 PACs in 24 hours.  Mine last for at least three hours.  Although this happening so often, and for so long, my cardiologist and EP specialist told me that there was nothing to be afraid of.  Even though it feels terrible, they said that it won't harm my heart.  They are treating me with medication though.  They tried beta-blockers and are now trying a calcium channel blocker, because there are so many PACs and the 50 mg Toporol beta blocker did not work.

I think Steps is talking about the valsalva maneuver. I have used this to stop my svt (which starts with a pac). Oddly, I've had better luck with the valsalva in the lying down postion that sitting or standing, etc. Not sure if it was a coincidence. Just mentioning it.

Thanks for the info!  Yes, that 3 hour episode was really scary!  When you say you push, how exactly do you push?  Thanks.

I would stay away from any herbs. Unless yu really know what you are doing with them.  Omega 3 fish oils or foods that contain them i have heard help. and you need potassium etc for the hearts health. But read up on it from reliable sources. Such as the mayo clinic website. Take a multivitimin daily like centrum. with food.  And arrhythmias should not be allowed to go on for that long. 3 hours.  for my palpatations i try to push that sometimes helps. but go to the er for long spells of them.  Please.
