PAC's 12 hours post exercise - why?

I'm a 54 year-old male that is one year post-op from a 3-vessel CABG. I had the surgery as a result of angiogram results - not an M.I.  The surgeon also performed a Maize (sp?) procedure in an attempt to alleviate my a-fib. I am not taking any prescription meds at this point in time, and have been walking about 3 miles per day until the second week of Dec. Last week, after resuming walking, I experienced an irregular heart rate (about 12 hours post-execise) and went to the ER to be checked. It turned out to be PACs. Electrolytes and all the other blood work were good. The PACs occur about 12 hours after exercise now - like clockwork - and wake me up at night.

Any thoughts on where I might start researching what is going on? What happens 12 hours after exercise? Blood sugar drop? Can blood sugar extremes trigger PACs?

I certainly appreciate any thoughts offered on this!

FOUND IT!!!

I was looking back through my lab work from my ER visit and discovered my potassium was at the extreme low end of the 'normal' range and my sodium was at the high end of the normal range. Low potassium can cause conduction issues - and after reading up on sources of potassium it was obvious that I wasn't getting much in my diet. So I bumped up my potassium intake to nearly the RDA of 3.5 g/day via bananas and Lima beans. I'm happy to report that I went to the gym yesterday and exercised and have not had any PACs since. Hopefully this will help someone else out there.

When my blood sugar drops I get an increase in pvcs.  Everytime!
I just drink some gaterade and it helps.
Good luck
