PVCs at rest??

I've been having some PVCs at rest while I heard they only occur with major physical activity or right after strong effort, like standing up too quickly after sitting down for a long time, or lifting something too heavy all the sudden, but in my case no, they occur at total rest like when I'm in front of the computer, and when one happens I don't feel the usual slowing of the heart rate then and a strong pump, no, I feel as my heart literally stopped for a sec, and it hurts a bit somehow, on a scale of 10 like 2 or something, then it goes into a weird rhythm for another couple a seconds then back to normal, now is this common? I have panic disorder for the past 3 years by the way and some major anxiety, also I don't sleep quite well at night; I can feel it going to happen I mean the pvc right before maybe a few seconds from happening, I can feel it coming, but have nothing to do about it. Had some arrhythmias 7 month ago, but nothing big, went to the doc, did an echo test, found nothing, did a holter, they found only 2 pvcs, nothing in triplets and no couplets, so any ideas?? Any help on this would be so relaxing, since am going like crazy about this ??!?

I also have the skipped beats during slower times.  It seems to be like a car.  You notice the engine running rough when it is sitting idling.

That being said, there is a huge correlation between anxiety and PVCs on this site.  So rest assured, you are not alone.

Sitting at the computer is one of the most frequent times for my PVCs as well.
After getting scoped, I was diagnosed with a hiatus hernia.  The stomach pushes up and affects the vagal nerve, which causes the skipped beat.

I took up many relaxation techniques to reduce the anxiety and the PVCs are way down.  There are many sites on the web that coach relaxation.  Meditation is great and easy to do anywhere, anytime.

Good luck.

pvc's have a mind of their own and can occur at any time...I've had pvc's/vt runs during exertion that make me faint since I was 9...had an ablation at age 42 to try and cure them but they came back along with pac's/psvt...

pvc's are common when resting because the heart rate is slowed; there's a technical reason something about the hr being lower, hopefully someone will give you the technical stuff about why and I'll try and find the dr's answer

have you had full blood workups? sometimes low electrolytes or thyroid can cause them also

virtually everyone has some pvc's daily; if you have no structural heart problems, and had a full cardiac workup pvc's are just an annoyance you have to find the best way for you to cope with...if they get in the 4000-6000 range daily then you should ask for meds or ablation whichever your dr decides is best...
