Rapid Heart Rate

I don't know what has been wrong lately, but it seems like my heart has been beating faster than normal after I eat. I also have some pressure in my head sometimes, but I don't know what that is from either. I go to the doctor ALL the time, and he lets me know that I am okay all the time. I just want to know that I am okay, but my heart probably beats around 110 beats a minute and I am just resting, which is the only time I can feel it. Right now my heart is beating 84 beats a minute and it is in the day time and I am at work moving around. I just don't know why it beats faster after I eat. It seems like there is sort of a shortness of breath in there too, but I don't know what shortness of breath feels like, I can breathe fine and everything. It is just worrying me that I have such a high heart rate sometimes during the night. Is there something wrong? I have never had an EKG though or anything, but there were a few times I went to the doctor when my blood pressure was high but I get nervous to go to the doctor anyways. What does everyone think?

Do you have any other symptoms? If this happenes periodically but have other symptoms (such as fatigue, bad memory/losing words, feeling low and others) it could be your thyroid. Your heart has to work hearder when you are low on T3 and T4. this is just a suggesttion. I had palpations, "skipping a beat" and racing beat they were due to this. My heart was and is fine.

Well, I have been evaluated by my doctor but he never thinks anything is wrong with me. I noticed last night, I had a few beers, well I was done drinking about 6 beers and my fingertips felt like they had a sheet over them when I touched them, so they were not exactly numb. My pulse is so high too when I drink. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

i think its impossible to tell until you have been evaluated by a cardiologist, maybe you should wear a holter monitor for 24 hours, that makes a recording of all your hearts activity over that period, anything abnormal will show up.
