I'm really sorry, I have to leave the forum

I just wanted to thank you all for nice discussions through the last couple of months.

I'll have to quit writing here - for three reasons.

1) I need to stop focusing on cardiology in order to get my cardiac neurosis under control (doctor's orders).
2) I need to stay focused for my job and my family.
3) I'm a little afraid I give advice about stuff I don't know well enough - possibly creating problems when pretending to be "sure".

Anyway, best wishes for all of you.

Special thanks to:
The community leaders, you are doing a wonderful job.
Mum2four, Kay2468 and Nurse2b, I really hope you'll get well soon! Thanks for nice chats!
Cindy: Your answers are great!
Lisa: If you're reading this, I admire your courage and I really hope the doctors soon find a cure for you!

See you all :)

I have only been a member for about 2 months and it can become a bit obsessive, checking in every day... I will be having my ablation in 12 days and I know that I would be more concerned that I already am if it weren't for people like you who post here.

Take care, look after yourself.

Well I hear ya as well.  I was told to STAY OFF THE INTERNET as my obsession with my heart is totally out of control.  I just find myself sneaking back on here for some sort of reassurance.  I have been reading posts for years and comment on some.  I have enjoyed your posts though!  You seem to know a lot.  I am sure you have made a lot of people feel better anyways!

I feel what you're saying. My doctor suggested the same thing - stay away from the site in order to take your mind off the heart issues, but she recommended cutting down, not stopping completely.  It doesn't have to be all or nothing.  When you give reassurance to others, it only uplifts your own heart.
Maybe take a break and then come back with a new identity: something_is_right.
I hope you can believe your own advice as you sort yourself out.  Be well.

I hate to see you go. In my opinion, your comments are full of knowledge and very helpful.  I feel you help to target the heart patients fears and anxieties while giving good advice.  Best to you, and I hope we see you back on here soon!

Thanks for all your help, I can understand your logic, but hope you reconsider and find a way to help us out "in moderation" :-).

I really hate to see you go. Was it the ecg discussion? I just finished reading it and it was very civil and a good exchange of ideas and opinions. Your input is always excellent and never inflammatory (using phrases that sound frightening).

I understand the need to back away from all things heart related. It can become an obsession after awhile although I've never sensed a "neurosis" in you. There are times I back off, not because I fear for my own heart health and life. I just get tired of thinking about my heart so much and want to explore and enjoy all the other things in my life.

Perhaps you just need a rest from this and will come back soon. We would certainly love to have you here.

One of the ER doctor very surprised when he saw the comment of the doctor's forum that I printed out and show him.  He said that he wasn't realized, not in the book and non of the prof. has told them.  He wanted to raise that and see how they explain......

You'll have the benefit and knowledge that you won't get them from the doctors from here.  Every comment before you accept it, you need to filter through your brain.  Some is incorrect and some over stated and some even not make sense.  Well, some is really encourage, well explain and choices given...............  It is your right and your choice to choose.  This forum is always opened and welcome.

Good luck and take care.

recently, somebody on here suggested that just thinking about pvc's can bring them up.
i think i noticed this phenomenom in myself recently,

allthough there's definately also a physical side to them as well.
for example: sleeping positions, foods, etc.

but yes, i definately see your point.

i'm glad i read up about tachy's and pvc's on this forum though,
it has made me feel more relaxed knowing there's many people out therre who can indeed live healthily for a long time even with these kind of problems.
