It seems almost impossible to do anything physically due to the discomfort of sweating. Here I am talking about sweating while not being short of breath or even tired.
I know my permanent AFib reduces the efficiency of my heart, but with an EF of 60% and a resting HR of 80 or so it seems there should be plenty of oxygen getting around to do light gardening or outside maintenance work, especially if done in the shade or early/late (8 AM/8PM), or doing light house work inside with air-conditioning on. I run the A/C at 75 degrees, which produces a reasonable humidity. Still, sweating "forces" me to stop and sit (inside) under a ceiling fan to regain some level of comfort.
It has been hot in NJ (USA) for several weeks, most of July. I know that is a major part of the problem, but will have to wait for cooler weather to check to see if my heart condition has worsened in some way I can not detect other than the sweating.
I had my 6-month check-up with my Cardiologist in May, so before the real hot weather hit, so I didn't make a point of of my sweating "problem". Yes, I notice sweating even in cooler weather, but not so obnoxious.
I hear on the weather reports this has been a record setting year for heat in most of the USA, and worldwide too I think.
