Unknown irregular heartbeat

I have regular episodes of my heart going out of rythm throughout the day. Some last a second and some 5 to 10 seconds. My ECG is normal and my thyroid is fine. It is debilitating and leaves me short of breath. My doctor doesn't know what's causing it. Does anybody else have similiar symptoms?. I am searching for answers and hopefully a cure.

I agree, cut back/stop caffeine (includes no chocolate).  And, if you stomach can take it, I recommend an aspirin a day, at meal time.  If this doesn't help (the aspirin is mainly to reduce chance of clot formation from a flutter that could be an atrial fibrillation), or it gets worse, talk with your doctor.

Try not to think about your heart, anxiety can also be a cause of rhythm problems.
