exercising and palpitations..( PVCs & PACs) ok??

Ive recently been told I have some narrowed arteries and some plaque buildup. The cardio opted to work on risk factors based on my tests...rather than head for the cardiac cath lab. So..Im on cholesterol medicine..told to lose alot of weight and have joined a health group from our local hospital..works with people that have cardiac issues. Ive had the palpitations for 20 years. Ive posted here a couple times this week..I seem to be in a run here of palpitations...they come..and are really bad for a day..then disappear..then return the next day..and disappear. My question is, I feel them flaring up here again this morning. My workout is this evening. I workout in a cardiac fitness center. Is it ok to workout when the heart is skipping and jumping all over the place?? Ive never had to ask this before.

I eat a banana and a potato every day. I just like 'em. I don't know whether they help the thousands of  PVCs I have each day or not. Probably not, since I ate them daily for years before I got PVCs.

Anyway, my favorite way to eat a banana is to slice it, let some (maybe 1/3 to 1/2 cup) of  EDY's frozen yogurt melt partially over it, and then enjoy it. I do that each evening with a different kind of frozen yogurt. A great, low-fat dessert.

I also like bananas in oatmeal, and sweeten the oatmeal with a little homemade, black raspberry freezer jam or applesauce.

I'm feeling kinda hungry right now...

thanks for answering. So many of these posts seem to go unanswered. I went to exercise...I workout AT at a cardiac fitness center...so...i felt pretty safe there. They were aware of what was going on with me, so my BP was taken and I was watched carefully...but I was put thru my regular workout..and yes, the palpitations happened just about the entire workout..but I had NO other symptoms with them-and they were watching me closely. So..I had a great workout...the palps continued at home...they said since I had been not eating or drinking because of being sick on Sunday/Monday, they said my potassium could be low...so I came home and ate a baked potato AND a banana...it took about an hour and a half ...but the darn palps suddenly DISappeared as fast as they appeared. I dont know what today will bring...but I do know I will have a banana for breakfast and lunch! If thats what it takes..I will choke em' down!!

My gut feeling is no i wouldn't because you are going to increase your heart rate and it may become more intense for you and i think runs into the red zone here.  The only way to be sure is to speak w. your heart doc to get the all clear on this one especially with what you posted along with it about plaque build up and narrow arteries.  If you are having a run of palps all week long time to make the call here and that is what palps do to all of us...come and go but why aggrevate it and chance something happening to you.  I don't think any one of us can answer this safely for you because you have other issues that are involved here and altho i believe strongly in staying fit and healthy i seriously think this needs to be looked at again for your sake....talk to the doc.......
