any one with pvc?

this might sound a little daft but, is there anyone here with pvcs and been on very fast rides with them?

im going alton towers next month and i get pvcs when im stressed or anxious.

I know they can be caused by adrenaline so can they hurt me if im on the big rides, im paranoid about my heart.

i have had ecgs done when i had pvcs and my ecg was normal

or is this a daft question?

i'll try to have fun, ive been on beta blockers before but it seemed to make the ectopic beats worse after a week of being on them

i could of made them worse myself cuz i read the side effects and i kept checking my pulse and making myself worse, i was on the beta blockers for anxiety and didnt work as well as the first time i took them a few year ago because my anxiety was much higher this time.

i got rid of the anxiety and i dont notice any pvcs, i only seem to notice them when im due on or on monthlys, i also seem anxious at that time of the month.

if ive had ecgs and they are fine surely im worrying over nothing?

thanks for your reply, it make me feel better,

ive not been diagnosed with anything up with my heart, i just had a panic attack last year and loads of pvcs all day, so i went to a and e, so everytime they put me on ecg my heart was going buzzerk and they said they couldnt find anything and put it down to a panic attack, me being stupid just didnt even ask what they funny heart beats were so i ended up asking my doc and she said i was just having a few pvcs, if that were a few whats a lot?

ive done ecgs and and the heart doc and my doc was happy with them so she said they're normal and i will get them because im a very anxious person

I'm sorry if I'm smiling a little (after the rollercoaster question :-)

A little more serious: Your focus is wrong. I know, because I used to think the way you do. In other words: Stay away from activities triggering PVCs (or PACs for that matter), and finding a "cure" for your PVCs through that.

The solution is not how to get rid of your PVCs, because you can't. The question is how to live with your PVCs, and accept them as normal phenomena that happens in virtually everyone from time to time.

I actually think you should do stuff that triggers PVCs (like rollercoaster rides). Try to get as many PVCs as you can for some time. But you should not be afraid of them. They don't go away completely, you need to live with them, forget them and don't be afraid of them.

I would seriously call your doc before you go and ask him/her if its okay or if they may want to help you out a little and give you a little safety net if you are prone to tossing out PVC's...adrenaline rushes can definately effect them....to me i would want to ensure that i had a stress free and fun day and i don't think that it would hurt to call your doc...they could maybe give you a low dose beta blocker to ward off a little of the adrenaline if they thought something may pop up...have fun tho......

i have some pvc but ive been diagnosed with atrial fib. we just got back from Carowinds Amusement Park and i was really really scared that getting on the coasters would send me into a bad rhythm, but it didn't. i was relaxed more than ever.i think the beta blocker helped me to not feel much fear/adrenaline at all. Before i had a-fib and before being on a beta blocker i would get scared on the coasters at the parks we visited and of course my heart rate would shoot up. The first coaster i got on Saturday i closed my eyes the whole time. When it was over and nothing bad had happened to my heart i opened my eyes on all the rides after that and had fun. try it. get on thinking how much fun it is not how it could effect your heart. good luck
