I have been to doctor...I am also a EMT..They don't appear to be PVC's on an EKG as they tend to be pretty distinct but I have only a modest understanding of EKG's. I am on the 30 day event monitor now after the 24 hr monitor showed sinus tach at 179 (or so the doc says)  I don't believe it was really because I was at the gym at the time.  Other then that 1 incident, there has been no significant EKG reading...I'm anxious to get the EKG from this event monitor and see them for myself.

Too funny!  Permanent indentations in your wrist!  I laughed like crazy when I read that one.

You are SO right.  If you have had all the necessary tests DO NOT WORRY.  I spent 17 years of COMPLETE anxiety and obsessing about my skips in my heart.  I am still here to talk about it but I do take Prozac now for my obessing about it.  It has been a life saver for me!

LadyJake is so right - don't worry about it and move on because you will spend years if not the rest of your life worrying about something that isn't there.

Have had these for 30 years and have permanent indentations in my wrist (just kidding).  Sounds like you have seen a doctor for these?  I feel the 'lurch' and the missed beat at just about the same time.  As Bon-Bon said, PVC's occur in healthy and un-healthy people.  Most people will have them and in the healthy heart, they pose no health risk except to the mind, which being fertile in its imagination, can have us waiting for the next PVC by keeping our fingers on the pulse point.  THis doesn't do us any good and just adds extra anxiety which can then trigger another PVC because we "just know" that 'something' is wrong and want to prove it to ourselves.

Best advice is to see your doctor, take the tests, wear the monitor and set your mind at rest that they will not physically hurt you.  It's hard to do for the majority of us and when we have trouble coping, it's great to come to this forum for support.  Hope this helps.

In my case, I feel that when I'm having PVCs (Premature Ventricular Complexes or Contractions).  PVCs can appear in both healthy and  un-healthy hearts.

Have you seen your doctor regarding your particular symptom?
