NO HEARTBEAT?

HELP I am 3 1/2 months pregnant and My OBGYN couldnt detect a heartbeat! Does an Ultrasound usually pick up a heartbeat by this time?

The heart starts to beat at 4 weeks of gestation. I agree that perhaps the baby was in a position that may have been difficult to pick up the beat. At that age they're still very tiny. Is the doctor going to check again sometime soon? I do hope and pray everything is fine with your little one.

The baby could just have been in a position that made finding the heartbeat difficult.  Try not to worry and see if there is a way to get another ultrasound in the next few days.  I would post in the OB/GYN forum where everyone is very familiar with unexpected things that happen during pregnancy.
