That's the decision process. I don't have the "numbers" but I think the success rates for SVT are high, and with a relatively low risk of complications.

You and your doctor have to decide if a ablation is a good idea. Factors to consider are:
1) risk/benefit: the usual advice for those who have mild symptoms is the benefit isn't high enough to take the risk, conversely, if the symptoms are seriously lowering the "quality of life", then the possible benefit is high enough to take the risk.
2) what is the probability that ablation will work, some people are not candidate for the procedure for reasons of their physical condition, some have low chance of success, say less than 50%, and many cases have a high probability of working, upwards of 90%.
