thank you for your response, i'm not sure what type of catherer was used. the bp seems to have stabilized however , i've had a headeache ever since i got out of the hospital three days ago. i have stopped drinking coffee and i'm thinking that could be the cause, also i thought it was the side effects from the hydralazine, any ideas ?
Prior to my ablations, my BP ran around 90-115/55-70. Shortly after the procedures, my BP went up, and I was put on an Ace inhibitor for optimal pressure control. Not sure why that happens, but I'm guessing that it could have something to do with how the blood is able to flow more assertively (without the interruptions of the ectopics) through the arteries/veins...not sure.
Do you know if your ablation was done with a catheter with an irrigated tip? I read somewhere about the volume of water that's used in irrigating the hot tip of the catheter, and how patients for a few days after the procedure are constantly urinating and have high BP as the body slowly filters the excess water out of their system.
