bad sleeping schedule/habits causing heart rhythm problems?

hey guys, im a college student and my sleeping schedule is really bad. there would be nights where i would sleep at 4am and wake up at 7am then nap after i get back from class for 3 hours then end up staying up late the same night till 4am again because class the next day is my late class. it is off and on like that. on weekends i would stay up late and sleep in. Lets just say my sleeping schedule was not steady. My schedule would go off and on for a while and sometimes it may be worse during midterms or finals. Do you think this bad sleeping schedule has somehow confused my heart or some other system in my body that can mess with the heart, like the somatic nervous system or something? I have been on winter break for about a month and ever since I have seen a cardiologist my sleeping schedule has been somewhat normal because I have to take medicine but with the exception of very few days where I sleep late. I still have my IST symptoms (though I don't notice it, EKGs do). so maybe my bad sleeping schedule has nothing to do with it. just wondering if anyone else cured their tachycardia by adjusting their sleeping habits.

I don't know about curing tach with adjusting your sleeping habits but what i do know for absolutely sure is that interrupted sleep or lack of sleep and cause tach to raise its ugly head.  My heart doc says that when we get over tired, too much caffeine of any type, anxiety and stress among other simple things you are giving an engraved invitation to tach to come on in.....the other factor that i understand is pretty major with this is dehydration.  You need to take care of yourself and not put your heart into overdrive....like i've said before i think on this site....think of the word "Tach"  just like a car....you don't tach your car out and run it into the red because we know what happens to the car......same with the body...its the only one you have so just like the car you've got to make sure you take care of it and maintain it.  School is definately important but trust me your heart takes priority because without it.........we all know the story....

I meant to say autonomic system not somatic nervous system.
