Ditto...ditto and ditto.... Same deal had the ablation, heart went absolutely crazy a couple of times after and was told by one of the best ablaters in the world that i could experience this as my heart healed after being poked, prodded and penetrated. Just like an injury your heart is mad at you and needs time to heal and the swelling to go down i bet. Being on a low dose BB definately worked for me and three years later i am still on antenolol and happy to be so...its a great med....my doc said he could ease me off of it if i wanted to but decided not to when he told me that he takes an antenolol every day as a preventative and has a healthy heart. I know the thoughts that are going thru your head and excuse my language fellow members but it ***** because of all of the random thoughts we have after like it didn't work, made it worse, man o man why did i do this, the whole gambit...just stay in touch with the doc and listen to what they say but i would say that only being out of it a couple of days...well welcome to our club....you are going thru what alot of us did and now 3 years later.....i live by you go girl....i wouldn't have changed a thing...patience, patience, patience and don't let your mind take this to places where you don't need to go without confirmation....good luck
ps, just thought of something. You mentioned going "back on flec again". If you stopped flec cold turkey for the procedure, then coming off it you can experience rebound arrhythmias.
Hi, tough call on that one. I'm not a huge fan of ablating multifocal benign PVCs just for this reason. I think flec is even more unethical for treating benign PVCs. But I'm making a big assumption because I don't know if that's what you have. 90 PVCs in a minute might mean you are having episodes of VTACH and perhaps that's your diagnoses?
So is it vatch they are trying to treat?
If it is vtach, have they seen any structural issues that might be causing it?
Anyways, without knowing your diagnosis it's tough to make a recommendation.
Also as stated above, it takes about 6 months to realize full benefit from ablation, since it injures the heart to begin with right after the procedure things might be worse for a while. Best of luck.
Sounds right, healing takes time, sorry the suffering seems to be unavoidable.... but the flecanide or a "softer" BB may help you through the tough times.
Seems crazy, but being in good physical shape isn't a guarantee of a health heart... it has its own "mind". Some people get a way with being over weight and smoking (2 packs a day, if anyone can still afford that many) and having no heart problems.
We get what we get at birth, but be sure your benefits from being in great shape are still with you and should help you through -- try to be positive and optimistic.
Talk to your doctor about some medication help.
If your only 5 days post ablation, the heart needs time to heal. I was placed on beta blocker for 6 weeks after my ablation to control my pvc's while things heal. If the pvc's are really bad you may want to try a beta blocker until they figure things out. I had my ablation 2 1/2 weeks ago and my pvc's are just starting to calm down. I was advised they could get worse before they get better.
Good Luck!
