After everything I've been taught, I still have days where my HR will not go above 60. I DON'T work out and am 53. I had one EKG that said I had heart block so I always got a bit worried and thought that my heart block had evolved.....well, come to find out that my newest EKG shows NO heart block. Again, go figure.
thanks for the comments....i drink alot of fluids, mostly water......seems to me after i sit around for a long time and then my resting heart rate gets to like 52-54...but i dont really have any significant symtoms like nearly fainting or anything which are assoiciated with heart problems with low pulse.....my doc says its common with young ppl, but i still get a little worried
I totally agree with Rita on this one and adding to the mix just reminding you how important that it is to drink fluids (water is best) DURING the work outs not just after. Dehydration can cause our bodies to become super irritable and not drinking fluids could definately cause headaches........
When your HR is over 60 it is normal. If you are athletic and your heart is conditioned, this HR is perfectly normal, even at 55. Headaches and lightheadedness may or may not be connected. Only a doctor can tell you that with careful assessment. Stress and anxiety can cause headaches and lightheadedness, as well.
