need some answers please

i went to the ER because i was having alot of dizziness, clamy skin, even though i was sweating i was having chills so bad that i was shaking. i wasnt having chest pain, just pressure. they admitted me to the hospital.while there my blood pressure was dropping really low, and at one time my heart rate dropped to 28.they said i had bradycardia, and vertigo.they made me an appt. with a heart doctor. he sent me to have a tilt table test. the results were normal. my heart rate and blood pressure stayed normal.the second part of the test they give you medicine to speed up your heart rate. they had to triple the dose because my heart rate wouldnt get where they needed it to be.every since then i can feel my heart beating.next week i go to have a heart cath done, because they cant figure out whats going on. has anyone else had any of these problems, and could give me some answers. not knowing is driving me crazy.

what you're referring to is Dysautonmia and autonomic nervous system dysfunction, which can be related to or affect your heart as well as many other organs in your body

we have a dysautonmia forum here with alot of useful information and great members, also dinet [dot] org is a great place for ANS problems

you may want to post your question on the ANS forum and see if anyone can help you there - most of us with ANS problems can relate to some of the things that you describe

I would get a copy of the tests & hospital visit and take it to the cardiologist when you go

A close friend of mine has recently had some of those issues, but on the table test he passed out immediately.  His has something to do with his nervous system.  I can't remember the exact cause, but it actually is not a heart issue although it is effecting the heart.  They do believe his was caused by a virus. They have him on meds to increase his heart rate and he is on a high caffeine and high salt diet.  I would not recommend that type of diet unless your heart doctor approves, this is just what they have my friend doing now.  Keep us posted on how you are doing.  Best to you!
