Hi,
A Premature Ventricular Contractions occurs when the heart beat occurs before it should have [prematurely]. As a result, the heart pauses, called a compensatory pause, as the heart waits for the next beat to occur. These can seem to be much longer than they really are. The initial premature beat is usually not felt, this you are unaware of, but are aware of the compensatory pause.
But you are concerned and felt faint. This appears to be a departure from your usual palpitations. You need to consult with your Doctor to see what exactly is going on. Your Family Doctor is a good place to start, call for an appointment. If you continue to have problems similar to what you describe, consider visiting the Emergency Room for an assessment.
Please remember that no one on this forum, not even the Doctors, could properly assess your condition without doing testing and seeing you personally. You should schedule an appointment for your Family Doctor at the least. I've always recommended that people that never had an arrhythmia that develop one see their Doctor, and that people with an arrhythmia that experience a change in the number or symptoms of the arrhythmia also see their Doctor.
Be well.
yes I've had this same thing. I went to the er and found out my heart rate was elevated dangerously, and I was in an abnormal rhythm. This went on for years on and off. I later discover if you get proper treatment Early it is treatable. Mine went on too long and I had to get a pacemaker to correct the situation. The Lesson here is to get to your doctor. Only theycan get it properly diagnosed and treated, before you have a permanent problem.
