hey there, Sorry I sctually never went... I can't seem to find the time but the pain is becoming more frequent and they are lasting much longer... I really need to go and when i do I'll let you know what they say!
Hi there.
I experience painful heartbeats sometimes. I have SVT and mild mitral prolapse. I take meds for these conditions.
Please let me know what your doctor says. =)
Thanks cindy!! I appreciate the words! sometimes hearing it from someone else besides yourself is better. I've made an apt for next week, I'm sure all will be fine and my mind will rest once I go haha... Thanks again for the help!!
Hi.....we all know that your life is worth more than 30 bucks right? (Unless of course you are my ex and all bets are off on that one LOL) Kdaily you are the only one that knows what feels right and feels wrong in your own body..even more than any doctor would because its yours.....all of us women that were ever on birth control pills each and every one of us were told that there is a risk of clots when taking them...its pretty boiler plate and again unless you have a family hx. of clots same as the comment i made about heart attacks. Personally if it were my body and something were making me uneasy or i had a sense that something was off or wrong i would listen to that little voice and go for the gold here and make the appt. The feeling of relief when you have the answers will be such a weight off of you..theres not a darn thing wrong w. being sensitive to your body and obviously you take great care of it from what you posted so you are no doubt a little more in tune w. yourself than most of us are....so take care of your mind kdaily as well...give it a sense of peace because thats what you'll feel when you have the answers from the doc and stop second guessing yourself.....good luck kdaily......
Thank you all for your responses.
I have thought of seeing the doctor because this is not the normal chest pain that I've experienced in the past.
Cindy thank you for the information however I have had the muscular pain in my body/chest before from over working-out but this is definitely the heart that is causing the pain. It’s almost like I feel the blood passing through the heart when this happens which is also why I fear it because I have a history of my doctor telling me I was at risk for blood clots due to taking Birth control since I was 15. I'm not sure what my Grand dads heart disease was but I'm glad to know that only means to put me a a higher risk rather then making me a high risk.. If that makes sense.
I have strongly considered seeing my doctor only because I don't know what it is and it seems to get worse each day it happens. Although I haven't died yet so I’m sure it is nothing to worry about HAHA, not that I find death funny.
Thanks Jonesy, I did read on that before I posted and thought of that too... there are obviously some other things it could be I guess I just wanted an opinion before I wasted 30 bucks for a doctor to tell me its nothing.
Thanks all!!
I suspect that you are simply experiencing an extra powerful premature heart beat-either of ventricular or atrial orign- both of which are normally benign.
I use to experience exactly what you have articulated from time to time and was diagnosed as having benign premature ventiicular beats. They won't kill you but just annoying to live with.
Bottom line- if you are worried go and see the Doctor for some reassurance.
Hi i too read your post....first off i definately would not panic here.....there are some very specific symtoms that happen w. a heart attack and you haven't really descibed any of them so relax a little bit. If you are having pains under your breast(s) it could definately be muscular since you work out so much. I always do the touch test....if i have pain anywhere in the chest area after working out and i take my index finger and press it and its an ouch moment i pretty much relax and know that i over did it at the gym. The heart is located center chest and a little to the left. If you took one finger and put it at the bottom of your rib cage and took another finger on the other hand and placed it in that little hole at the bottom of your neck and brought them together at the same time to the middle of your chest then you have found your heart. It is about the size of your left fist. As far as family hx. goes....if anyone under the age of 50 in your family has had a heart attack then you would just be in a higher risk group..doesn't mean that you will have one it just means that the docs like to keep an eye on you. So much of what you are posting sounds like muscle issues w. strain...to be sure i would call your family doc and tell them what you are experiencing and let them make the call..but your age, health and taking such great care of your body are on your side on this one....good luck to you.....
Having painful heartbeats is alarming for you. Have you thought about taking to your physician?
