Other than electrolytes, lifestyle changes may be in order and if that doesn't work you may want to ask your doctor about an anti-anxiety med like Lexapro or Xanax
I have suffered from just about every arrythmia there is out there - even dreaded long runs of VTach; Vfib and lived =) Even with 50,000 pvc's & numerous problems plus the probability of death, I do not and will not let these dreaded things rule my life.
Concentrate on other things and stop reading and worrying about things that you don't have to worry about; enjoy life, smell the roses and don't borrow trouble of things like vtach, you will only hurt yourself and miss out on all the good things in life.
thanks for your reply.... i have had every test under the sun!!! i was on a cardiology ward at the hospital for 1 week 5 yrs ago and was on a constant monitor and review by cardios and electro doctors .. all said no arrythmia present!! i am just worryed that they have turned bad?? sound silly but since having my baby 1 yr ago i have has 2 24hr ecgs and an echo and all checks out the exact same as 5 yrs ago.. dnt think my HR gets that high and it only lasts for not even 5 seconds when i get palps, prob about 2 or3 seconds....maybe its my hormones!!!
Try not to think about V-tach. We all worry about that one but it's really unlikely that this is what's going on. Just don't think about it, it will drive you crazy.
If your monitors are saying you are having normal sinus rhythm, then look into things like Atrial Tachycardia, as this looks very similar to normal sinus rhythm.
Have you had thyroid checked? Electrolytes, 24hr urine test?
How fast does your HR get?
If it is bothering you a lot, see an Electrophysiologist.
From what you've said it doesn't sound like it's anything serious, BUT always speak to a doctor.
anyone else with any thoughts ??? i am scared of stuff like v tach!!! it seems common on this forum
I suffer from a multitude of problems :( an EKG picked up frequent pvc's (50,000) I had a 24 holter monitor, treadmill stress test, 2D echo, TTT, Sleep study, RF ablation; cardiac catherization, cardiac MRI and had to have a pacemaker/icd implanted and they all picked up my problems
that's the short list, check my profiles or journals or this post on heart disease forum
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Heart-Disease/Suggestions/show/1327152 for more info
if they dont' pick up yours, you may want to ask for a 30 day monitor to see if they can find the problem
hey thanks for reply what kind of thing do you suffer from??? and has it been seen on a monitor
while arrythmia's are scarey, there is a very slim chance if you have a normally structural heart that anything will happen to you - your tests have shown everything is normal; which is a great thing
have you had your bloodwork done to make sure there aren't any chemical imbalances? also make sure you're not making your symptoms worse by foods/drinks you may consume; and with 2 small children you're probably under some stress...stress & anxiety can only make our symtpoms worse
pvc's to me by far are the worst feeling; other than alot of runs of Vtach; and it's something I think we all wonder - can I die from this? probably not - if it makes you feel better; there's some of who have had 20,000 - 50,000 pvc's daily and lived through them; although there have a been a few with those amounts that have developed cardiomyopathy but for the most part with surgery that's been reversed
hope you feel better and take care of yourself
