pre-hire physical

following a 1 1/2 mile run a friend (nurse) checked my blood pressure 136/74, and listened to my heart. She said once about every min or so I had an extra beat, such as lub dub.. lub dub.. lub lub dub. i am 24 y/o healthy, with no medical problems. I have never smoked, drank, or taken drugs. i have never had chest pain, soa, fluttering or other heart symptom. I have a once in a lifetime, extensive physical for pre- police hire in one week....will this be a problem for me?

Sounds like recovery PVCs to me, no way to be sure.  They are common, not sure if the police physicals screen for them.  If a doc caught them they'd dismiss it as perfectly benign.

Hi. Well I hope you do well! As to the extra beats, they are quite common. They may require you to have a test like a holter or an echo to just be sure everything is ok. Most of the time I believe they are fine, but occasionally they are not so fine. You are one very lucky guy to not feel them! :)
