How often are PVI's successful in eliminating atrial fibrillation?
What are the risks?
What do they do they ensure patient safety?
Who will be on hand to support the team if problems arise?
Do they use TEE to monitor for blood clots during the procedure?
What are the repercussions of getting pulmonary vein stenosis, and how is it dealt with?
How do they do it?
How will the doctor and support staff be taking care of me after the procedure?
How does the doctor assess his success rate?
When faced with challenges, who does he get to help him?
If I can think of more, I'll put em in here. But I am sure other members of the community will have some ideas too.
Just to add, my mother didn't have to go through all the EP studies and tests and ablations either.
I'd ask him why not just put in the pacemaker and skip the rest. I just put a question on the forum myself about something similar. I have no problem with getting a pacemaker.
I really can't see messing with ablation which may or may not work when I know a pacemaker will work and stop messing around with tests.
Maybe pacemakers are as good as I think they are, but my mother lived a very long life because of one. She sure felt better too.
