a wonder when my heart rate goes up i always have to go to the bathroom really bad does this make any sense?
I've suggested this to you before; see a doctor who specializes in ANS issues if you haven't. Not all patients have the same exact thing or symptoms and there are a collection of different disorders with similar clinical manifestations. I can't remember if they did a Tilt Table Test for you yet?
See if any of this sounds familiar : 5. What are some of the more common symptoms of an autonomic dysfunction?

Autonomic Nervous system problems are difficult for some doctors to diagnose; and for some reason doctors don't understand them. It took me from age 9 to 42 to finally get diagnosed, most in the Dysautonomia forum go through this also - have you posted there to see if anyone can relate or suggest what else to do or who to see?

Since you've exhausted your possibilities with arrhythmia's, at least get ANS issues ruled out also =)
sounds good but this is like my 3rd my file is like 3inches thick
BTW, panic will pump out adrenaline and make everything worse. Try to relax until you can get another opinion.
Second opinion? Our university here in Ann Arbor, MI (U of M) has a whole dept just for Afib, one for mitral valve problems. Maybe a teaching hospital is your best bet.
Meditation helps me.
okay after wearing a monitor for 2months the dr. said he didn't see anything but i still fell like crap dizzy heart still racing whats next?
what do i do now?
I don't think you want to get much lower. If mine gets down that low, I extend the time between doses of Atenolol and drink a water until my bp is back up over 100. When I expressed concern about he low bp, my primary care physician says his little old ladies in their 90's have lived that long because they don't have high bp that wears their hearts out.
74 75 hr
meds no change as of the last month or so
Dehydrated? naw dont think so
With what heart rate? Have you changed any meds lately? Dehydrated?
i just checked my bp and got 87/48 then 84/46
112/70
should i be concerned with this
I get runs of tachacardia a lot of times at work, induced I believe by a hostile work environment. I don't get them so much at home.
I've found deep breathing, small meals, enough rest, no caffeine help. If I am running late and rushing I sometimes get it, and the nurse practitioner told me it's the heart's way of gearing up for what's required of it. So, if I manage my time better, I don't get the tachacardia as much.
My heart rate is frequently in the low to mid 50's. My bp can be as low as in the 90's. If it gets low, I make sure I'm hydrated and skip a dose or extend the time between doses of Atenolol. Hope this helps.
well as of now thats all they have found
What happens before you get a rapid heart rate?
nothing it just comes when it comes it started waking me up from my sleep now it happens while i'm awake
What is your resting heart rate? 57-70sWhat is your BP at rest? 137/82
Hi friend
1.It happens when I work too hard or work in office too late. :(
2.I feel every bumping of my heartbeat - in a racing way. Then I must take beta blocker to slow down the heart beat.
3.Doctor didn't explain why I have Sinus tachycardia, but he said that's frequently seen in heart-problem patients, don't worry too much, just relax and have a regular life. In beginning I don't like such answer because I feel he is just trying to comfort me, but after seeing several different cardiologists due to each medicaine has side effect to me and I was trying to find a "best medicine",,,,, well, I am just trying to explain why I visit many different cardiologists, after all, I prefer such answer because that really helps me have a peaceful life, that's interesting, so I know the solution to such disease (or sympton) is to have a relax, peaceful, and joyful mind (bible said so too) ;D
Hope you feel much better now and really take it easy. Life is not asking why storm comes but learning how to dance in the rain. :)) cheers.
Well, as I told you I can't say for sure why you get the sinus tachycardia runs.
First, is it verified that you actually have sinus tachycardia and not some other supraventricular tachycardia?
Second: What happens before you get a rapid heart rate? Eating? Drinking? Feeling anxious? What is your resting heart rate? What is your BP at rest?
Anxiety does of course make the heart rate more rapid.
With a BP of 200/105 something is seriously stressing your body and this "something" should be found.
how often does this happen?
what do you experience when it starts ?
have you been given a reason why this happens?
I have Sinus tachycardia in my heart report too but I accept it's part of my daily life.
Believe me you will be feeling worse and worse when you put much attention on it, my way is try to accept it's your heart and sometimes it beats irregularly but at least it beats. Cherish each single day and enjoy it, to have healthy food, light exercise, love those you love, enjoy what you like ( I hope it's not smoking or drinking:D). Some period ago I paid a lot attention on my numbers and it became much worse in a very short time becasue medication chain reaction. Then I try to tell myself everybody has different life which is all controlled in God's hand, so I can't change much about the health but at least I can change the attitude towad it.
Forget the Sinus tachycardia and enjoy your life, and put your trust in God! :D
Of course if you feel extremly uncomfortable you still need to go hospital then... ;D
To study too much knowledge about heart disease won't help or stop bad thing happen, on the contrast it leads to advanced worry, suspection and gets worse like you are having few years left, I have experienced all these and would like to share my personal experience here. Cheers and best blessing
well i was told there is no a-fib and i have had a monitor for 2 months and they say the only thing they have found is just sinus tach and no underlying issues (thus far anyway)
i asked my dr does he think this is panic he said no so i don't know what to think
what i wonder is could it be something and when i get tachy does anxiety set in and makes it worse?
and how can i manage this ?
i had when it comes on
Hi!
Sinus tachycardia is a normal rhythm, though too rapid. With a BP of 198/104 you probably were in the middle of a panic attack?
You can't treat sinus tachycardia (except slowing it down with beta blockers), sinus tachycardia is not a diagnosis, it's a symptom or reaction of an underlying condition.
The list of underlying conditions causing sinus tachycardia is probably a mile long. Some causes are:
(I'm grouping them after blood pressure reaction)
Sinus tachycardia, usually normal BP:
Dehydration
Heart failure
Heat, dilated blood vessels
After heavy exercise
After heavy meals
When standing up when your blood vessels are dilated
Some ANS disorders
Pulmonary embolism (rare)
In which cases the sinus tachycardia occur to maintain the blood pressure (compensatory reaction)
Sinus tachycardia, usually elevated blood pressure:
Exercise
Anxiety
Panic attacks
Stress
Fever
Hyperthyroid
Poor condition levels and/or overweight
Pheocromocytoma or other neuroendocrine tumors (extremely rare)
Hypoglycemia
Electrolyte imbalances
When the circulation is working heavily because it's stressed.
What to do?
If you know the cause (if you are obviously stressed or in the middle of a panic attack) this should of course be taken care of, but sinus tachycardia shouldn't be a medical emergency. If you don't understand the reason and your heart rate is 160, you should of course see a doctor immediately. A resting heart rate of 160 and systolic BP of 200 is of course abnormal and a cause should be found and treated.
Eating healthy food, small meals, regular light exercise and stress management is good. Heavy exercise without warming up (lifting heavy car parts for example) is possibly dangerous for you and should ONLY be done if it's cleared by your doctor.
I can't give you any specific advice but living healthy is always a good idea. I assume you have hypertension (causing the A-fib) and your doctor should try to control this.
