skipped beats

for the last few days my heart has been skipping a beat every 20-40 beats.  it causes a strange sensation in my chest.  the other night they were much closer together my ears started ringing and my arm hurt i thought i would pass out.  today i feel very week and out of my head.  i have been diagnosed with techacardia, but it doesn't seem to be acting up.  someone told me it could be anxiety attacks.  can panic/anxiety attacks make your heart skip a beat like this?

Trust me a panic attack can do alot more than cause our hearts to skip a beat. The strange sensation in your chest is probably just your heart trying to re regulate itself....no biggie....your ears ringing sounds like anxiety and there is something called "bands" that happen when we stress or get ourselves all worked up and it can feel like bands tightening along our arms and wrists.  You didn't say if you are on meds or what you were doing when the skipped beats happened.  Your heart has to compensate itself somehow when we skip beats and that actually causes it to work a ltitle harder.  I guess the main question is how do you know its skipped beats?  If you are skipping a beat two times in a minute i definately would't worry about it and if you do spend the 50.00 and get an EKG done at your family docs office and let them tell you what it is.  Tachycardia is just that....your heart racing like crazy and you'll definately know when that episode happens....good luck to you

Sounds like you might be having PVCs which are mostly harmless and definitely can be caused by anxiety.  The more you stress over them the worst they can get.  That being said, have you seen a doctor about it?  That would be a good idea if you haven't.  You need to try to find out what is going on.
