fibroguard can prevent any kidneys damage
vitamin d3 5000iu daily prevnts bone loss and steatosis
I was gonna ask where you get VIREAD so cheap... Its crazy world we are living in where a government needs to buy a patent in order to treat potentially fatal sickness.
Dear Stef,
Thank you very much for your suggestion.
I have been taking viread for four days and so far so good. I take it last Sunday because last month I worked on remote/offshore area and still worried about viread’s side effect.
I understand why my doctor give viread today because my government just buy viread patent on last month.

It is new for most doctor in my country.
Do have suggestion what kind of test (blood and urine) that I should to test to monitor viread side effect such as Lactic acidosis, toxicity, severe hepatomegaly with steatosis, etc?
Thank You
viread is the oldest hbv drug with no resistance and the most potent while sebvivo is not first line hbv drug approved on guidelines because of resistance is very high, go for viread
hbsag more than 1000iu/ml is a failure of intf treatment already at 24 weeks, you could have saved all the 48weeks of intf, anyway go for viread 3 years and then add on intf again, if this combo lowers hbsag by 24 weeks keep the combo
Dear Stev,
I already tested for my hbsag quantitative and meet my doctor.
The value decrease from 34000 on May 2011 (during 12 week pegasys treatment) to 25000 on september 2012 .
But I do not know this result is good or not and whether I have to wait for 2 or 3 years from now to see result of pegasys treatment or should I take viread as soon as possible?
My doctor suggests me to take viread, fortunately cost of 30 tablets viread is around 40 euro and free for HIV patient on Indonesia.
Viread is new for my doctor because on last February he asked me to take sebivo.
My guess, many doctors decide to give drug to hep B patient as per approving from his institution/(after collective decision).
Sometime agree to say “you go to doctor it same you go to junk food”.
I like this doctor because he can/brave give me fit to work explanation (letter) and he work on biggest health institution in my country since difficult to find doctor who want to give it. My experience with institution where I take annually medical checkup from my company did not give fit to work certificate to me caused my hbsag positive although I can play football every week.
Thank
check for another doctor because this one is not updated at all, intf must be followed by hbsag quantity and then hbvdna as complementary.as to alt the higher the better it means youare killing infected cells
take viread generic or brand, it has 11% hbv clearance at 3 years, just following hbsag quantity you will see if it will clear, sebvivo doesnt work it makes resistance and has very low clearance compared to viread......there is no question about antivirals viread is the most potent
Thank very much Stef,
What you mean baseline stef?
If you mean HBSAG quantity.
My hbsag quantity was 34.000 (high) during 12th week my pegasys treatment and I never check again.
I think my doctor just see my hbeag and viral load.
Beacause my hbeag still positive and my viral load still high when 48th pegasys treatment, He had suggested me to take sebivo for three years on Feb 2012.
On February 12 my SGPT/ALT around 20 and viral load 10^6.
Now on September 2012, My SGOT 152, SGPT/ALT 175, and viral load is more than 1,1 X 10 ^ 8.
From this condition my SGOT, SGPT, and viral load, I think to take antiviral.
I will go to my doctor today to discuss regarding potent and cost of antiviral.
Do you have suggestion?
viral load is useless to see response to intf, you should have checked baseline,12weeks, 24 weeks hbsag quantity and if no decrease stop intf at 24 weeks because not working
post hbsag quantity, hbvdna is only to measure antivirals efficacy not hbv infections clearance
