Anyone taking hepatitis b medicine for months and stopped? Will it damage liver

Has anyone taken hepatitis b medicine and stopped, did it damage the liver, doctor said if stopped, will make liver worse. Am taking vemlidy for 2 months, but because insurance problem, might not be able to get medicine for next month, until I get it fix this month,  so if I stop for like 1 week,will it severly damage my liver , because I have taken vemlidy, and suddenly stop ? Anyone with experience ?

“BOXED WARNING: POST TREATMENT SEVERE ACUTE EXACERBATION OF HEPATITIS B
Discontinuation of anti-hepatitis B therapy, including VEMLIDY, may result in severe acute exacerbations of hepatitis B. Hepatic function should be monitored closely with both clinical and laboratory follow-up for at least several months in patients who discontinue anti-hepatitis B therapy, including VEMLIDY. If appropriate, resumption of anti-hepatitis B therapy may be warranted.“

No basis for this, I think its better of you are anti hbe negative and hbeantibody positive. But it may affect if you ate still hbeag positive. I stopped after 6 months but I didn't need drug anyway but the doctor wrongly place me on drugs. But when I saw a Consultant. He said I didn't need before. I think you have to follow up properly. May be mine was an exception.
I've stopped before for almost an year due to me having side effects from medicine. The only thing that happen was my dna went from undetectable to 3log but I was taking viread.
Jason, out of curiousity, what were the side effects you were having?
