Baraclude lactic acidos

Well I was diagnosed w hep b in may '11 and since then ive been on baraclude because my hbv dna was around 2billion, baraclude has been working well for me as Im around 365,000 last time i seen my docter last month. But Ive been feeling what may be the effects of lactic acidos.. I have these chills and always weak feeling. Im getting muscle pains in random areas and sometimea shortness of breathe but then it would go away for a day and come back.. My docter said she might want me to swith to viread but im thinking doesnt viread also warn about lactic acidos? Also could it be the fact that I was exercising recently that caused this? The symptoma are really annoying and can be a little verwhelming sometimes but hasnt been to the point where I cant function and have to go to the ER as of yet

i have biopsies, they are useless compared t the damage and impossibility to monitor by the time

what I am concerned is my bladder area
those pains are normal and should go away when hbvdna und and inflammation/liver size gets to normal

viread or baraclude?
definitely viread if kidneys are ok and no baseline mutants with effects on viread

Yea we have checked lactic acidos the second month but my docter said the number wasnt high or something she was concerned about.. She said she thought it might be just an initial reaction to the drug. I guess I cant say for sure that im not at cirhossis, even though I rarely drank and I only had high alts for a year or so. But considering im in the US I cant get a fibrosis scan and im not sure if I should get a liver biopsy right now because everything is pointing or should be pointing to a normal liver. But what I am concerned is my bladder area has been in pain sometimes and I wonder if its an effect of baraclude. Also do you guys perfer viread or baraclude?

lactate serum must be checked regularly, especially if there is advanced liver damage, i had it checked every 2 months at start and then every 4-6 months, since lactic acidosis is deadly and might have no synthopms it is better to check it closely

I was diagnosed with HEP B, after I went for a job medical and may have had HEP B, for at least 5 years prior to this medical since on other medicals I was informed my Liver enzyme readings were high and i should investigate this but never did. On these medicals I was never tested for Hep B.Anyway I am now on a course of treatment using Baraclude for the last 3 months - the small little heart shaped pills- I have had no side affects - that I am aware of, yes I get cramps now and again, but I used to get those prior to using Baraclude - yes I feel cold sometimes but I did before prior to using Baraclude. I have just given blood for the umpteenth time over the past year and see my Consultant at the end of the month for the latest staus. I still drink alchol and feel no side affects. I have beenb for a ultrascan  of the liver and was declared normal.

lactic acidos is very serious! The one thing that you can do is supplement with Tums 3 or 4 times per day.
Yes, indeed change to Viread as it is far less toxic...go to pub-med for details and search both drugs. Compare the end points and toxicity detials. Also your pharmacist should be able to print all toxicity reports for both drugs.
The second thing you want to do is protect your mitochondria...as both drugs have be proven to be cytotoxic. Read "Medication-induced Mitochondrial Damage and Disease" located at the advance life research website. The study is located under the breaking news link.

I hope that helps.

you may know the stage you start by biopsy but biopsy makes damage to the liver and have risks so it can be performed once in 5 years, so no way to monitor improvment.all this just because fibroscan is french patent machine (not US)

stop baraclude and start taking viread?
no this is not safe you should combo both for at least one month

but in all this mess from a world like prehistory do you monitor lactate while on etv?

Also since my doc wants me to switch to viread, is there a way to go about it? Or would I just stop baraclude and start taking viread? I go this thursday for my APT

canada is the closest place where to have fibroscan or some research centers in US, you may thank FDA who blocked the few researchers who had fibroscan...so ridiculous

an ultrasound done.....

ultrasound is totally useless, if you are in Us you are very unlucky they have nothing to check fibrosis

Well Im not sure if I had a fibrosis scan or what that is exactly, but I did have an ultrasound done and I was told that I have little to no damage done. I mean I was recently diagnosed in may'11 due to high ALT's and I rarely drink liquor prior and now I def dont drink, is it possible I can still have cirrhosis? My docter almost assured me i didnt have it by the ultrasound test.. Btw Im a 20/yr old male from NYC
