We dont have fibroscan in my area... but yes us and biopsy.
I am planning to start treatment but just really wondering about this.
I mean if this happend on medication it would be noteworthy of the medication so I am trying to figure out what caused this since I am not on mediction.
If liver is ok .. i suggest to start entecavir .5mg from now .. no analogy is better than safety .. build a firewall to block any hbv soldiers attack ..
did you make a fibroscan, ultrasound?
I know they are both high but when it was routinely half a billion for years then suddenly drops along with ALT dropping it makes you wonder what changed.
Also the drop was over the last 6 months with the last test in November... in november ALT was 80 and in Jan it's 47... so if trends are similar for viral (did not get it tested) it could be still dropping.
That said I am not asking to replace treatment (pretty much going to get treatment at this point) but just asking because it's on my mind...
I'm not a doctor but to me, it's strange that you're focusing on the drop of viral load when the end result is still 6 million. Viral load of 6 million and 100 billion shares the same category, high. The safe category is low. And you let ALT & AST in the range of hundreds for years that caused you Fibrosis. Careful now, don't let Cirrhosis caught you off guard.
