i had taken hepatitis b antidote in 12 years ago,,,but since 2007 i have physical relationship(non-protected sex) with my partner,,he has hepa b(chronic),,,is there any chance of infections????currently i have mild pain in my right abdominal area
zellyf is exactly right. What I mean is "given what we assume is true, you probably just need monitoring, not treatment." Of course as long as HBsAg is still positive the risks are there however low they are.
Neither and "healthy carrier" can be misleading. It just means the virus is replicating at very low levels...for now. You are still infectious and you still need to monitor for flares or mutations.
e-antigen is a protein that attaches itself to the virus. It indicates a more active, virulent phase of Hep B. Eventually, most people will seroconvert to e-negative with e-antibodies. Some will require treatment to do so.
a healthy carrier meaning? Does this mean you can't infect others, does this mean your liver is no longer sustaining damage? ....
If your HBV DNA is low or UND, HBV e-antigen (negative) and HBV e-antibody (positive) indicate you are a healthy carrier.
