they said it was high but no major concern at the moment
ALT? Don't know... check the reference range given on your chart. This varies from lab to lab. At the labs I go to, 48 would be considered normal.
bilirubin? I just can't say! What units do they use at your lab? This does not make much sense if I assume the units they use at my lab: mg/dL
dirty needle: certainly! You can't infect yourself with hep this way if you did not have it in the first place. But you shoved a needle into your flesh and blood, took it out, covered with your flesh and blood, and skin contaminants, let it incubate in the air for a while, collect dust, breed other bacteria, etc., and then shoved it back in. Again and again! Not a good idea.
