Hello. I'm a student which is still 20 years old. I am a volunteer of an organization here in our community.
Last year, we donated blood together with my co-volunteers. After that donation, I was called by a doctor of Philippine Red Cross in our community chapter. I just discovered last January 2012 that I'm an HBV positive.
So I go to a doctor for medical check-up, I was given an HBV test again to confirm if I have this sickness. Then the result was positive, so I undergone HBsAg just a while ago and I found out the result of my HBsAg is positive. I also undergone SGPT and the result was 7u/L 4~41. It was the written in my result that I need to undergo HBV-DNA.
So I search for its definition for better understanding and I found out it worse than the past result.
Does it mean that undergoing HBV-DNA has already chronic Hepa B virus infection?
Will it change my way of communicating others?
Is HBV-DNA the worst among the other test for hepa-B such as HBsAg, HBeAg, etc.?
PLEASE HELP. THANKS.
