Hep B and Liver Cirrhosis

Hello there

I have a question regarding my mom who has Hep B for the last few years. She did ultrasound 5 months ago after blood test shows some change comparing to the past and I recieved the call from Health Professional from the Hospital telling me first that her Liver is okay but later that she has a lot of scars on her liver and that the doctor wants to do biopsy in order to determine the condition of my mom's liver. We didn't go back but we actually turned to a healthy food and mom started taking one therapy with natural teas which we bought back home from one doc of natural medicine who is very well known in Balkan area for curing liver diseases.

My mom did blood test about 10 days ago and it came back as very  normal and with very good results. Her family doctor said the results are very good and so far the best. However, I took my mom to the same Hospital where she did liver ultrasound and we talked with this lady, NP, who told us that we need another ultrasound in a month ( bc of health insurance covering every 6 mo ) and to see what's going on. But, she shocked me when she said my mom's liver has cirrhossis according to the last ultrasound test that she did 5 months ago. I asked for the copy of ultrasound and I showed it to two doctors who said they can NOT see any signs of scars tissue or cirrhossis whatsoever. Mom is feeling great, normal and all good although she had some kind of depression and stress a few months ago when she was about to do ultrasound test but for the past few months, without stress or anything she has no major or even minor problem with health.  Now, my question is: How can they say a lot of scars on her liver and this NP even said cirrhossis when on the copy of ultrasound said this:

"Liver: The Liver is normal in size and echogenicity. The echotexture is smooth. No focal intraphetic mass is identified. There is no intraphetic biliary ductal dilatation. There is hepatopetal flow in the main portal vein. The surface of the liver is smooth. ARFI measurements were acquired: 1. 21, 2.17, 2.25, 2.8, 2.95, 3.42, 3.7, 4.17. Resultant ARFI median is 2.9 m/s."

I am afraid that they actually think there is cirrhossis or scars tissue according to this ARFI measuremtns as her median is 2.9 m/s. Can someone explain to me, please ?

"ABDOMINAL AORTA AND IVC: The visalized portions in the upper abdomen are unremarkable."
PANCREAS: The visualized portions of the pancreas are unremarkable.
SPLEEN: The spleen is normal in size.
KIDNEY: Survey sagittal images of both kidneys show no hydronephrosis. There is a smple cortical cyst measuring 0.9 x 0.9 x 0.9 cm in the posterior cortex of the right kidney."
OTHER: There is no fluid in the uppear abdomen.

IMPRESSION: Unremarkable ultrsound of the liver. ARFI measuremtns as above. "  - That's it about ultrasound.

This ultrasound was performed in June this year/last summer. Now I am posting blood test that she did 10 days ago:

While this is the Hep C forum. I totally agree with your doctor and not the NP. Thers is nothing in her Ultrasound that suggests cirrhosis and her blood test looks great. Happy Thanksgiving.

Well, let's the results speak for itself, buddy. If I can see a thousands successful cases back home among my people ( not a story but something which is called reality ), I would try the same thing as well. It is not really smart to say "stupid herbs, tea..." when we all know very well that many plants and herbs have very good anti inflammation capacity for the liver as well as cleanse. Ex of milk thistle, marshmallow, etc. Also I am not calling anyone here or even myself to turn our back to our doctors and their advices but to look up for a natural cure together with docs treatments or when there is no treatment.

You mentioned you had cirrhosis in 2009, but you know very well that modern call it western medicine is still claiming that cirrhosis is irreversible. Your example is simply debuting their claims as a hundred thousands cases worldwide.

Ps. My mom doesn't take any medicine prescribed by doc whatsoever as they think she doesn't need to be on any treatment yet. Sorry but I had to disagree with you that "treatment" is clear. It is not, from case to case it's different.

At the end, I'm coming from the different side of all of this / I am not a guy who just believe what docs say and turning my back to nature that God send to us. Cure is out there, we just need to find out or to use it. This is in my believe as in believe of about 2 billion people ( Muslims ). Docs have a very very high status among all other people, they deserved that, but at the same time we all know that today standard medicine is studying only diseases and not the cause of the diseases nor how to really heal other then using conventional medicine which is very toxin...

Best regards,

A.

i am sorry about the mess you are doing with treatment for your mum, treating hbv infection and regressing cirrhosis is not a big deal we have the guidelines already since many years, i regressed my advanced cirrhosis in 2009 in 1.5years to normal fibroscan (not just regression).

it is useless to post here and follow witches (not doctors) with stupid herbs and teas, the treatment is clear and with simple antivirals it will take about 5 years to regress it and few months to block hbv infection, with use of antioxidants and healthy diet simply avoiding processed foods it will speed up

please stop posting about doctors like that or herbs because treatment is clear and there is no need to mess with witch recipes

Yeah, man. Its very confusing when they're trying to explain something. Like "there is scars on the side of the liver..." but again, why didn'tthey put that on the paper for Ultrasound test... Then saying they are thinking it is cirrhosis because of the measuremtns of 2.9 m/s as according to them everything over 2.0 m/s is cirrhosis to them...

I am looking for a better doc now.

I am sorry about the delay.

He's using some roots of some trees and plants. I know for sure one of these is marshmallow or it's call bijeli sljez in Bosnian. Up top of that when boiling for a certain time, there is some tea he send as addition to put into water and cool it. He wanted his patients to drink this tea 4 times a day, 3 times before meals ( at least 30 minutes before each meal ) and the forth time before bed time and no eating after that.

Of course, diet is very strict and you have to follow it if you want to be success. Mom didn't really follow his diet which she now admited as a big mistake. Usually it means that you can eat only a "few" differend kind of foods and the rest even healthy for liver you need to forget for 40 or 50 or 75 days ( depend on the treatment you're using for ).

Someone could say "ya whatever" but guys, let me tell you this: This guy is WELL known in the Balkan area. He's doing this job as a fitoterapeut for about 35 years. People are usually saying good things about him and I know some of them. One family is about 15 miles from my house in Bosnia who was digonized for Liver cirrhosis for the last stage where she needed immediatly transplation of her liver. Her father as a LAST chance went to this guy office in Sarajevo, capital city of Bosnia and spend one hour talking with this guy and then went to Kosevo, University Clinical/Hospital Center in Sarajevo and took his daughter out of the hospital on his signature and had her on this guy treatment.

In only 40 days, the whole Liver got regenerated to its normal and original healthy one and that girl was 12 years old before a few years ago. After 3 weeks of using this treatment a girl start going to school.  I don't want to spread some 'stories' about this or that, I just want to say this is something I personally know. If anyone wants this guy information, just inbox me for details.

Ps. the trick is not just about this tea from plants and roots but his diet which is very strict and only then he quarantee Liver will generate itself to normal and if it's not too late as he said.

After the treatment, you can eat all healthy foods which is good for immunity and liver, but during the treatment/therapy, NO. He specificelly said that: "A lot of people think they can use some stuff to improve and help immuny system while drinking his therapy tea and following his diet, but that is just WRONG as it makes many times opposite reaction or not successful job..."

Anyway, I don't want to sound like promoting someone on here, just giving information about this person and his treatments. I am waiting for fibroscan and another opinion of another doc for my mom liver and if no big improvement or some made it, I will have her repeat this guy therapy with strict diet.

i am sorry but i see you are in US, most liver specialist there are extremely ignorant plus they dont know fibroscan which is available for the rest of the wrold since 10years and about 1-2 years in US

what they said is like the 2000 era and cirrhosis is not managed that way since years, you should look for the best liver specialists and for a health clinic with fibroscan

What I wanted to say - I do not type longer messages from phones but only from computers and I wanted to do so when I get to work today. Like I said, I try not to use computers and other tech when I am off, home although I use phone to short messages etc.
