Put more info lab test reports u ve done. Interferon should be given for 1year and not just 6months but let that ur doctor decide.
After interferon course continue with tenofovir life long to prevent liver cancer and other complications and live safely. Reviro is a good brand name at ₹1470/30 tabs.

You have provided very information. So we are guessing that your doctor is suggesting 6 months treatment with Inteferon. We also speculated that your father was never treated or were treated with lamivudine and had since developed drug resistance.

A good treatment is to take Tenofovir, which should be cheap in India, for at least several years. This would most certainly prevent disease progression.

Just my opinion.
