I used to feel pain on my both sides, I did ultrasonography and many other tests, which showed normal. Then the doctor suggested it can be due to the gas coming from stumoch problem, indeed after taking some pills for stumoch, I didn't have problem anymore. So it might be that. Generally liver damage itself doesn't show much symptoms. In any case, you have to make thourough check up to rule out other problems.

No, it does not hurt on your left stomach. If anywhere, on your right because your liver is on the right side of your body but most Chronic Patients don't get any pain.

See a doctor and if you don't agree with him, get a second opinion from another doctor. Don't rule out Xrays, CT Scans and MRIs for the issue on your left side.
