My bf was tested positive in the hep b screening

My bf tested postive on his Hep B screening. He then went to this clinic and they said that his HbeAg value is 0.451 with a cut off value of 0.735 and was interpreted as non reactive. I am not convinced  because that clinic is selling expensive herbal medicine that they claim to cure the hep b virus. So, does it mean that he is not contagious? Im really confused now....

If he tested positive and also hbeag negative it would mean that he is chronic carrier and that he could be contagious. Vaccinate yourself with so called acellerated vaccination schedule.

Here are his results
HbsAg w/ Titer Elisa       reactive
Anti-Hbs-eliza                 non-reactive
AbeAg                            non reactive
Anti Hbe                          reactive
Anti Hbc IgM                   non reactive
Anti Hbc IgG                   Reactive

I saw these test results was done five years ago and he didn't do anything about his hepatitis. What exactly does these result means? Is he contagious?

no matter if he is positive or not you should get vaccinated if you are not already.
