honestly, i don't remember the exact values, initially i was only under dr monitor every 6 months back in the 90s, and i was a teenager back then,  i only remember it was in thousands, and in 2004 to 2005 it started to jump to millions of copies.  then alt was fluctuating mostly in 100, 200, and once a while 300 range.

i never paid attention or save the lab result until June

June 2014, hbv dna in the range of 10 - 19 iu/ml,  alt 86, ast 41,

Jan 2015, hbv dna not detected, alt 67, ast 33.

July 2015 hbv dna not detected, hep b quant pcr hep b suf ag screen non reactive, heptitis b surf ab reactive. alt 52, ast 30

December 2015, same result as july 2015, alt 47, ast 23.

I took viread about 10 years, no noticeable side effects, took the pill before bedtime, to the point the hbv surf antigent disappeared and finally my own immune system recgnized the hbv virus and suppressed it with my own hb surf anti body, my dr. described this process as seroconversion, and i asked if now i can donate blood, and the dr. said why not!

Hi Bm2016, What was your HBsAg / HBV viral load prior to starting tdf. You are an inspiration to all... Well done!

Generic is perfectly fine especially good companies like cipla.
Baraclude also runs a buy1 get 1 offer if you find the drug expensive, but you need to sign a disclaimer that you fall below a particular income level.this is taken care by the Oasis group for them

I guess i already have a famil history of hypertension. So i guess the medication just triggered it for me. But since i started doing exercises: swimming especially, and making healty food choices, sleeping well, and taking some good suppliments like garlic and COQ10, beetroot, my BP is finally under control. Although i still came 50mg of a BP medication (Tenoret-50), on several visits to my doctor, my bp has never exceeded 133/85.
BP issue phase lasted about 1 year.

Regarding the composition of all generic brands, here is my answer.
I dont think they are exactly the same. I think the are same with respect to the primary composition. I noticed this cos i take Viread, but on 1 or 2 occasions i had to take a generic brand, and i would feel ill for several days once i start taking the generic. But fell absolutely fine taking viread.
Hope this helps

One query.
Is the composition on all generic brands exactly the same? I am planning to take one generic brand but am afraid if it goes off marker in few years, I might have to shift to another ETV brand. Is this fine?

Thanks joc2011 for this update.
Best luck with ur treatment. Ill try to use the same, not sure I can convince my doc for tdf but will try. He has given two options for now to choose from Pegasys (which is unaffordable to me) and ETV. Did the sides u mentioned (specially Blood pressure fluctuations) last for one year??

Will be using TNF till we have a cure. Funny enough, based on my results, my doctor is currently putting most of her hepb diagnosed patients on TNF. Switching those who were taking lamivudine and any others to TNF.

Have used TNF since 2011 (5 Years now) with absolutely no issues. Whats more been absolutely healthier than ever.
Initially, felt pain/heaviness over liver area for a few months, tiredness, blood pressure increase, weight flunctuations,   but all thats over now, and not returned over 4 years now.
Glad i found out i had HepB, and glad i was able to initiate treatment. TNF clearly rescued my liver.

resistance is for all uses and tdf wont have any at this point whatever previosu resistance you have it will work

it works on etv resistance too but i think it is best to avoid any resistance mutations using tdf and keeping etv in case of kidneys problems with tdf.
