Have a test a month ago, DNA=5x10^7, HBsAg>250iU, HBeAg=1000iU
Today got refreshed ALT/AST=123/112

Will start the first injection of PegIFN tomorrow.
Heard that Vitamin D3 is helpful, can I take VitD3 daily during PefIFN? Is it safe?
Shall I take the pill of VitD3 which can be bought from the med store? How many mg shall I take every day?

DR SARIN is one of the best Dr for liver in India, maybe one of the best in the World. But all the investigation is done by his five assistant Dr and he just only go through his assistant prescription and add his opinion to it. Only draw back is its really hard to get appointment.

Along with Dr you also need to study yourself and see if the treatment is going the righ way. To be honest many Dr only know how to prescribed medicine, but people like us need more than a medicine prescribing Dr.

I think ALT raises when you are on PEG, I think you should not worry untill its below 1000
My Dr ask to just monitor this:
Haemoglobin >10
TLC >2.5
Platelets >4
Bilirubin total <2.5

I hope you have your Dr numbers handy as you might need help when you are on PEG.

Hope it help
