How can my first test be positive?
vaccine or past hbv infection, it has no synthoms so if you never did blood tests it can be both
anyway it doesn t matter you are immne now for all ur life
thank you. can I donate blood with these results?
No I dont believe you can. the blood bank will not accept any blood that has been exposed to the virus, even if cleared... (this is what i understand. please wait for others to confirm)
nikita
the blood exposed to viruses like hcv, hbv, ebv, cmv, herpes viruses and some others are never accepted and you should not donate blood/organs
we live in a balance with viruses, once they enter the body they are almost never 100% cleared but some dna might remain integrated inside cells (not the virus).this is why when hiv infected people gets to aids stage they have many infections
so, if I was vaccinated and this test became positive but I have a negative for HBS AG, I still have the virus and can not donate blood? can I give the virus to my child? thanks.
