it is hard to say. The liver has lost its even, smooth architecture, but the fibrosis is only mild or moderate, according to the fibroscan results. It might be that the structure was more damaged previously, but has reversed fibrosis. Architecture loss is harder to repair than reversal,of fibrosis.
Thanks but although its harder will it be back to its original smooth state at some point or will it remain hard?
my sister had a ultrasound as yours (coarsened structure) but everything cleared after using high dose vit d3 protocol, few months of gcmaf and of course tdf to make hbvdna und in one year (maybe less because we did not check earlier)
you have very low vit d3 for an hbv carrier, you should make these parameters to max norm levels vitd25oh and max low level intact pth
if you plan to start pegintf in the future you need vit d3 for this too
her fibroscan was about 9kpa, now 4.6kpa
Yeah i will know more in my next ultrasound in next week my pattern was weird
2007 CT Guided biopsy results normal with mild inflammation
2011 ultrasound heterogeneous coarsened echotexture liver
2014 ultrasound subtle coarsened liver otherwise normal
I just finished my ultrasound today. It was quicker than the one I did last year and the technician refused to say anything about results (although when i kept asking she said nothing suspecious but she isn't a doctor and doctor will let me know). She said doctor will call you tomorrow as results will be ready and she gave me a number to call as they can tell me when my results are read.
Hope nothing serious as just normal procedure
Mike, i hope will be fine.
Steff, I just got my answers of US:
The liver is normal in size and contour. There is mildly echogenic
hepatic parenchyma. There is no significant biliary dilatation, and
the common bile duct measures 0.5 cm. The gallbladder is free of
calculi and sludge. There is no gallbladder wall thickening,
pericholecystic fluid, or elicited sonographic Murphy's sign.
The right kidney measures 11.4 cm, without hydronephrosis. No
shadowing echogenic focus is identified to suggest nephrolithiasis.
The pancreas is sonographically unremarkable.
There is no ascites. The visualized abdominal aorta is normal in
caliber.
Do I have mildly fatty liver?
Just received my ultrasound results and it looks similar to mer971 for studyforhope, stef2011, carl and the experts below are my result:
COMPARISON: CT Abdomen april 2007, ultrasound june 2014
FINDINGS: Subtle heterogeneous appearance liver parenchyma again noted. No focal liver lesions. Visualized pancreas unremarkable. Stable appearance of the spleen. Gallbladder unremarkable. Negative for gallstones, gallblader wall thikening or pericholecystic fluid. Sonographic Murphy sign not elicited during real-time gallbladder assessment. The common bile duct is not abnormally dilated.
Segmantally visualized abdominal aorta and short segment proximal inferior vena cava unremarkable.
Limited assessment kidneys demonstrates no sonographic evidence for hydronephrosis.
IMPRESSION:
1) Suspected mild fatty change liver vs hepatocellular disease
2) Negative for gallstones
Any explanation guys on above result?
Looks good Mike, as mine too, hope the virus will not create too much trouble, till the cure will come out
What bothers me the CT scan fron 2007 was all clean but since 2011 ultrasound ( was my first ultrasound) and i get this consistent mild hererogeneous coarsened echotexture
